Find a emo hair style that is black or some other dark color. Or quite blonde. |
 |
Look after horn-rimmed glasses (with thick black frames). Glasses are also good for looking in emo style. |
 |
Try to wear band shirts and tight clothes. You have various ways: black or dark skinny jeans work great with white studded belts and an emo band shirt, or even a plain black shirt. Tight Fullbleed shirts usually have same affect. If you don't like jeans, you may substitute a skirt, so long as it isn't preppy. A goth or emo skirt from emo shops work well too |
 |
Wear black eyeliner and other dark makeup, because make-up must be visible, so you can underline the dark coloures of the fasion. |
 |
Buy a pair of Converses or Vans. They look great - you can decorate your shoes with a pen or permanent marker for better emo view. |
|
Get a plain black messenger bag or backpack - decorate the bag with pins and patches from Hot Topic and various white-out pen designs. Be careful with this, because too many pins can look poserish so arrange your pins in a random fashion. Make your own patches and safety-pin it for a personal touch. The best is done with your own hands.

Emo Eyeliner for girls
- Doesn't have to be black.
- Should not be ringed around your eyes.
- If you're going to try liquid liner, you might just want to skip to emo eye paint instead. If you don't have access to emo eye paint, try just using liquid liner instead.
- Go easy on the eyeliner. Put enough on where people know you have it on, but don't look like a raccoon.
- You can use the same process with kohl or an eye pencil instead of emo eyepaint or liquid liner.
-
Emo Eyeshadow for girls
- Try consulting with a makeup artist before selecting a color.
- Make sure your color goes well with your eyes.
-
Emo Lips
- Lip color shouldn't be too dramatic.
- Try smudging a little purple on your lips, not coating them in black or red.
- Consider ditching lip colors and gloss all together in favor of chap stick.
- Avoid lip gloss - shiny is not the way to go.
